
Premier Meetings was
founded in Newport Beach, California on June 1, 1985. Specializing in
corporate sales meetings and events, incentive travel programs, and
executive retreats, the company and its CEO and founder, Kathryn
Jurgensen, CMP, have received numerous industry awards and attained a
strong, respected presence in the meetings industry.
Ms.
Jurgensen has achieved the accredited designation of CMP (Certified
Meeting Professional) and was recently awarded the prestigious
Lifetime Achievement Award by Meeting Professionals International
Orange County Chapter (MPIOC). She currently serves on the Advisory
Board of the Southern California Safety & Security Association and is
President of the Alliance of Meeting Management Companies (AMMC), an
organization representing entrepreneurial meeting consultants with
industry-recognized certifications and a minimum of ten years of
experience in the meeting industry.
Ms. Jurgensen served
on the MPIOC Board of Directors for six years in the capacity
of Newsletter Editor, President-Elect, President, Immediate Past
President, and Director of Sponsorship Marketing. She was honored by
the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as Member of
the Year and is currently serving on the Board of Trustees and the
Board of Advocates for the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad,
California.
